Although it doesn't really fit into my usual everyday style, there is no denying that the leather motorcycle jacket is a classic item. We all have days where we want to wear something a bit different from what we normally would, and if I'm in a badass mood, I reach for this jacket.
The first jackets used for riding were the 1920s Aviator style military jackets. Prior to then, there was no attire made specifically for motorbike riding. In 1928, Irving Schott designed the 'Perfecto' and the motorcycle jacket silhouette we know today was born. Every decade since, we have seen iconic figures sporting them.
I got the jacket itself on eBay for a very reasonable (for real leather) £40; one of my greatest second-hand coups.
Here I styled it with a chambray button down, raw denim and some beat up Vans Authentics. Simple.

Jacket: eBay
Shirt: H&M
